Temporary Opportunity – 5 to 6 Weeks:
We’re currently hiring for a temporary general laborer position lasting approximately 5 to 6 weeks. Perfect for those seeking short-term work with a steady schedule.

Schedule:

First Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Range: $17.00 - $17.00 per hour

Pay Scale : Not applicable

Job Description:

• Unloads and breaks down freight (e.g. trucks, trailers, rail cars, etc.)
• Sorts and organizes freight
• Operate various types of material handling equipment
• Sort, repack, and label freight
• Identify unusable pallets
• Basic ability to read, count and use RF Scanner technology (training provided)
• Remove items from sorting bins, scan and place onto conveyor belt
• Remove items from packing bins, scan items using RF Scanner for accuracy, produce packing list and bag items
• Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with customer standard operating procedures (e.g. bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.)
• Maintains work area in a clean and hazard-free condition

Job Requirements:

• 6 months warehouse experience (preferred but willing to train)
• Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
• Warehouse material handling equipment certification preferred (e.g. electric pallet jack)
• Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
• Excellent customer service required
• Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers)
• Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
• Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day
• Effective communication skills
• Safety shoes are required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Other duties as assigned
